On the lake high plateau of the Tauplitzalm, as well as the Bad Mitterndorf stage on the Hiking Route From the Glacier to the Wine, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding mountainous landscape on the 6-lake hike. The hiking trail unlocks the picturesque mountain lakes with their species-rich high-karst flora without major differences in altitude. In addition, the region offers breathtaking mountain biking tours between the Dachstein and the Totes Gebirge. Glaciers formed the landscape here and left the lakes behind: The lakes of Ödensee, Grundlsee, Lake Toplitz and Altaussee as well as the waters on the Tauplitzalm.
