Skiing in Styria

From almost 3,000 metres to 200 metres, from the Dachstein to the south - in winter, Styria provides kilometres of ski slopes, powder snow runs and 'firn' snow to free-riders, carvers, boarders and all those who enjoy skiing. The ski areas in Styria make the green heart of Austria snow white in winter with their cable cars and chair lifts, children's lifts, night slopes and toboggan runs.

The top ski areas await with all the extras –  if Old Mother Frost is away on ski holiday – as well as very modern snowmaking equipment. The small, but fine ski areas in turn are a little off the beaten track and exude the original charm of Styria. There is no other place where you can enjoy such a wide range of ski offers: from the highest peaks to the fascinating valleys between Planai, Stuhleck and Kreischberg – from the culinary delights in the ski huts and on their sunny terraces to the sporting events, such as the FIS Alpine Ski and Snowboard World Cup or the annual night race in Schladming.
