Contemporary open-air museum: The mingling of art and nature produces constantly evolving stories throughout the seasons. Unlike conventional museums, this unique space is entirely outdoors. Created by human hands yet itself a naturally growing structure, the garden is entwined in a unique relationship with the sculptures exposed to the elements under an open sky.
See it to believe it: over 70 sculptures perfectly integrated within the environment in a host of different ways. The Sculpture Park lies seven kilometres south of Graz and was founded in 2003; it has been carving out a niche as a centre for contemporary sculpture ever since. For art lovers, guided tours are available to book on request.
Delicious art picnic in the park: a trip like you've never experienced before. Enjoy a couple of relaxed hours at the Austrian Sculpture Park – the cherry on the cake is a picnic basket packed with Styrian delicacies. After a stroll through the Park, admiring the contemporary works of art as you go, why not pause for a rest - there are plenty of green spaces and special (culture) spots around offering views of grand shapes, colours, materials and forms to make your picnic excursion a unique experience in the inspiring world of art. Cultural delight in a green setting.
