The Styrian Wine Country Cycling Tour
The new slightly longer than 400 km circular cycling tour takes you to the Styrian wine country with its culinary and cultural features, which are well worth discovering. It is more than just the cycling experience through the vineyards and eight wine routes in southern and eastern Styria that excites on the new cycling route.
The round trip is an invitation to get to know the wine country of Styria with its people, culinary specialities, its vineyards and apple orchards, fields and river landscapes, the Nature Parks of Pöllauer Valley and Southern Styria, hot springs and wellness hotels between the historic cities of Hartberg, Bad Radkersburg, Leibnitz, Deutschlandsberg and Graz. Eight comfortable to quite sporty stages invite you to discover the diverse landscape, cultural treasures, culinary delicacies and Styrian personalities along and next to the route. And how could it be any different in Styria: Wine taverns on the edges of the trail lure you in with enjoyable, sometimes vegetarian and vegan food, and hot springs allow for a healthy, soothing wellness rest, which does the cyclist's calves good.
The extensive high-speed railway network in Styria and the railway network of the Austrian Federal Railways connect many towns and cities of the Styrian Wine Country Cycling Tour. It is therefore possible for short-term holiday-makers to split up the cycling tour into several holidays.
